My GED Brokerage Membership Was Cancelled

Hey everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice about my experience with GED Brokerage. I've been a member since 2019 and have made a couple of successful purchases through them before.

This week, my account was unexpectedly cancelled after I couldn't complete payment for a recent winning bid. I got caught up in the excitement of the auction, but after thinking it through, I realized it wasn't the right time financially for me to make such a big purchase.

As a long-time member, I'm pretty bummed about this and would love any suggestions on how to possibly get my account reinstated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey John, sorry to hear about your account troubles. I've been with GED Brokerage for a while too, and their terms do state that not completing payment within 48 hours can lead to cancellation.

My advice would be to reach out to their customer service directly and explain your situation honestly. Sometimes if you mention personal circumstances, they might be willing to work with you. We've all had those moments of auction excitement!

For future reference, maybe set a max bid limit for yourself before jumping into an auction. I've found that helps me avoid getting carried away.

John, I feel for you, but WiseWanderer is right about the terms. Bidding without being sure you can pay does create problems for everyone.

That said, I hope you can work it out with them. We've all made impulsive decisions at some point! Let us know how it goes with customer service.

John, I had a similar situation with GED Brokerage last year! I won a bid on a beautiful Class C but then had some unexpected medical bills come up.

I called them directly, explained my situation honestly, and they were actually pretty understanding. They did charge a small reinstatement fee, but my account was back up within a couple of days.

Definitely give them a call - the direct approach worked for me!

Hey John, just wanted to chime in with support. We've all been there with auction fever!

I agree with the others - a polite phone call explaining your situation goes a long way. In my experience, GED Brokerage has decent customer service when you reach the right person.

Let us know how it turns out! Fingers crossed for you.
